You know, my Saviour, how I wait for footsteps that do not come; yearn for sympathy which is withheld; knock at doors that do not open; and dread what tomorrow may bring. I shrink from the loneliness of life, and the mystery of that unknown future that stretches away in the dark, like a moor beyond the light of home. But nothing can separate me from you. Amen.
